Summary 1. Between stimulus and response, man has the freedom to choose. Man possesses Self-Awareness; Imagination; Conscience; Independent Will. 2. We are responsible for our own lives. Our behavior is a product of our own conscious choice, based on values, rather than a product of our conditions, based on feelings. 3. Proactive people are driven by values - carefully thought about, selected and internalized values. Influenced by external stimuli but decision is based on value-based choice or response. 4. What matter most is how we respond to what we experience in life. Self Help Books

Do you enjoy reading self help books? I was first introduced to self help books through my random Google search during my internship. I was just fresh out from college, and I was aimless, clueless with what life has to offer (btw, that was like 7 years 3 months ago as I write). In fact, I remembered stressing out on which career path I wanted to choose. Despite graduated with a Finance degree, I was never really interested in Finance apart from Personal Finance. Coincidentally, I did my internship in a Wealth Management company! Oh speaking of self help books, I think the first book that I read was written by Adam Khoo, a Singaporean self made millionaire. It was a downloadable PDF with some workbooks. Reading the self help, and doing the workbooks within was surprisingly  therapeutical!
